Powered Sugar Cookies
I was glad to come across this recipe , as it reminds me of a recipe that I have called Swedish Dreams.
These cookies are rich but delicious, so here is the recipe:
1/2 cup powered sugar
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
Beat sugar, butter, oil, egg and vanilla until thick and creamy.
Then add the rest of the ingredients and chill for 2 hours.
Take out of the refrigerator and roll into balls about the size of walnuts.
Flatten with bottom of glass.
Sprinkle with sugar or powered sugar.
Bake in preheated oven 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until edges just are turning brown and middle is set.
